Q: I get a pain when I move my arm. So what is it?
Let’s take a history
The whole story
On when you did what
And where and how and who you’ve been to see.
When you tell me all the things you have been told so far
Most are untrue
Just metaphors, not helpful one’s at that
They make out you are damaged
“Well of course:
My tendons frayed, weak, torn, trapped, locked & stuck.
My muscles have lumps inside that need smoothing stretching out
My surgeon says there’s no cure, you have to live with it & endure
My bone is healed, so there is no reason for this ache
My specialist said I’m fine, but in 5 years I’ll need a new knee
My disc has slipped out usually my chiro pops it back but he’s away
My joints are worn my Mum the same and my muscles are weak.”
Would you like me to unravel your entangled yarns ?
Can we make some word exchange instead of joint replacement ?
Is another story helpful to create a better sense of you?
Am I listening, can I listen more?
Am I hearing you?
I am, then on to Stage 2
